This bleached fish skeleton was lying on a beach in Iceland . The close up of the bone structures are lovely. I would never have got it home in one piece.
I thought I was the only one poking in the strand line to see what there was. In Indonesia, any natural product is drowned in a sea of plastic. The boat crew thought I was odd, when I produced a pocket full of plastic bags after every dive. Coconut Octopus are quite small, they make a home from a few clam shells usually. The funniest bit is when they pick them all up and walk off with them. I haven't sorted out the videos yet, but I am hoping there are a few shots that show such things.
Fidget - your octopus are just fabulous. Amazing creatures and shapes and colours and markings.
We get storks and lesser egrets round here but not when I have my camera at the ready. That fish skeleton is too spooky for me but l love kitties of all sizes and colourful birds and insects
Thanks for sharing everyone.

Mummy Lioness seems to have her eye on someone.

Fabulous photos. I love that last octopus pic, fidget. Beautiful.
You got there Iamweedy! The markings on shield bugs are great. That skeleton is also fantastic.
Not even going to comment on the kingfisher Sheps. Your photos are always so superb, I don't have to say anything!
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
