We are doing a river cruise Dove. Never done this before I think we are both a bit apprehensive! From Prague to Vienna taking a week.

Should be interesting so  I definitely need my sensible shoes. Lots of walking in cobble towns!

as it's only a week we are tagging a few days on to the start and the finish.

Hope everyone stays dry today, doesn't sound too good.

Chicky I didn't know what you were talking about but just seen what's going on. Be careful although they wouldn't have opened the beaches if they weren't confident all was well

Butts. HaHa butts. I have a 30x40ft natural pond that functions as a sump and it had to have an overflow put in two summers ago.

Hey pp - I can lend you my snorkel if you want? It's finally stopped raining here (presumably in anticipation of Dove's arrival) so I shouldn't be needing it for a week or two? I found it really useful when I was cutting the lawn

D'ya know raisin I've often pondered bog snorkelling. I have tasty wee sheughs along three of my boundaries but I've recently discovered leeches in the pond. image

It's lucky I don't get to mow the rushes/lawn too often or dear knows what I'd be pondring next!

Morning all/afties Pat if you're there - hope you're a bit better and not too chilly. Glad your grandson is ok   image

I've tried to read back but I've forgotten virtually everything image

Wasn't home till nearly 9 last night - terrible slow traffic for miles  because of everyone leaving the horse trials at Blair Atholl. Forgot about that  image Just had a shower and a big mug of tea when I got in  - bliss image

It'll all be fine LP- if you forget anything, I'm sure you can purchase it. Have a lovely time image

chicky - hope the knees and feet are fine on your next practice. Is it a circular route, or a traverse?

Enjoy your hol when it comes Dacha.  Dove -  how many sleeps?  image

Ppauper - we're to get that rain later. It can't be as bad as Friday was - the wipers barely got a break en route to t'north and the hills were invisible. As is often the case though, when it cleared later on Saturday - the views were pretty magnificent  image

I refuse to let all the recent hideous news depress me, but after the main news headline on Friday, do you think the 'powers that be' will review their idea after what happened on the M1?

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    Morning all.

    Sorry for being AWOL.

    Got to work yesterday:

"What time do you finish to-day?"

" Ah....... This afternoon's first route back isn't until 6.28"

2nd driver was rota'd 10-5. The last morning route was due to leave at 9.38.

Cut a long story short. He had the 6.38 route and I got back at 7pm.

Oh , forgot the : " any chance you could work tomorrow evening ? " request. I politely declined .

I delivered here yesterday. http://www.theyellowcottage.co.uk/  £4,500 a week at this time of year. Stunning .

Lazy day pottering and catching some sun for me to-day.

    Devon.
