Good morning all.  Hi Pat - keep warm and get well soon!

Never underestimate the placebo effect, Clari...  my mum swore by some evil cough mixture or other, which I'm positive only worked because you HAD to get better or she'd give you some more of it.  image

It's raining.  Hope the forecasters are right today though, because we have a U3A gardeners' group outing to Ripley Castle gardens near Ripon.  It should be dryish while we're there.  And there's a cafe...  image

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

My Dad used to take that!

I've been up for a bit. OH has left to catch the plane for England, going to Norfolk for 6 days.

I've been deadheading dahlias, but I should not have worn my slippers, heavy dew. They are now sopping wet and covered in lawn mowings.

Hope you don't feel too bad with the lurgy, Pat.

    Morning all

LP, Wanlockhead is such an interesting village with the lead mine, library and old cottages. I haven't been for some time but there used to be some 'real' cottage gardens.

    heavy rain this morning.
