Lily , very interesting , the main  thing stopping us from spending more time in the UK are the restrictions around pet travel . I really hope it all goes well for your daughter's dogs. It is amazing how many expatriates have left Russia over the past five years......and Russians as well!

LP, is the road closed or was it a sign for previous closure that I caught sight of when out earlier?

Good morning all. Had a very broken sleep from a mixture of: kittens, OH listening to boxing at 4am, my own poor sleep cycle. At least a sunny sky greeted me at 8am today, although I snoozed back off for an hour then.

Just heard that my oldest nieces had festival-style camping out in their garden last night! I wonder if they slept better than me?

A joke for your BH then, to keep the balance: I got a new dog a few weeks ago, he's a great dog, well behaved, good recall, lovely nature. But it turns out my husband is allergic to him, so I have no choice but to rehome him. He's 42 years old, quite good at DIY, a good worker - free to a good home.

OH loved fight - I refused to be interested due the nauseating amount of money flying round. It's the same reason I can't tolerate football.
