Brilliant news Yvie - what a dreadful few weeks of waiting. Have a fantastic celebration at second borns wedding Monday, and a well deserved holiday to follow ??????
That's great news for you Yvie. Glad it's a good outcome for you all - what a relief. Try and relax and enjoy everything now
Love crab too BL - but rarely have it
Hopefully a hill or two chicky, and I may walk on Tuesday as it looks promising, instead of this weekend, as I'm now off for a week. Going away next weekend up north - and beautiful Suilven is one target, but possibly a couple of Munros as well. Too far to do in a day as it's around five/six hours driving to get up there, and longish days as well. Treating myself as the girls are also going away together for a weekend
Wonder how Hostie is getting on.....
Still raining here too - sorry Obelixx. Must have been loads last night as the pond is completely toppped up. Been pretty miserable all morning although it's meant to be a bit better this afternoon. Not holding my breath.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Last working day before your hols, Fairy? Hope you have a good break and some better walking weather. You wouldn't have wanted to be walking in what was chucked at us this morning - hail and monumentally heavy rain, followed immediately by bright sunshine. Quite like April, really...
Pat, your daffs are lovely and cheerful. Hope they lift your spirits while you're feeling grotty.
Just had 25Kg of sunflower hearts delivered... should keep the birdies happy for a few weeks...
Best wishes to Hosta.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
I had my hair cut then set off for Exeter with tonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnns of time to spare.
Got to the bypass and standing traffic. Traveled about 5 miles in 25 minutes. The traffic was crawling past an accident. I got within about 15 cars when they stopped us to lift the wreck onto a lorry. No windows, back totally smashed to bits roof smashed to bits too. My guess is it was on the other carriageway and came off the road, smashing , and rolling down the tree filled bank between the two carriageways. Made my blood run cold.
I have to concede I was then in a bit of a rush to get to the hospital. I followed sat nat until it disagreed with signs saying " Hospital" I should have stuck with it as I had to stop 3 different people to find the building where I had to go. I ran in the door at exactly 11o'clock. Spot on time.
She'll call me with the results in " about a week" . Fingers crossed they've found something useful to work upon.
The roads heading "up country" were heaving with traffic , less so coming the other way.
I came home via the garden centre. I needed some polythene , but a lovely salmon coloured water lily sneaked into the car. Oops.
Hi Liri - weather's looking a bit more promising for the next few days, but that can change in an instant as you know! I'll just have to keep everything crossed for next weekend.
The downpours we've had have been almost like hail - I couldn't make my mind up whether they were rain or hail. Today has been just lots of rain with the odd blink of sun. Not too warm - it was 11 degrees when I got home at 2 ish. April was far better. In fact - January was far better ...
I bought some more food today too - the sparrows, young and old, have been stuffing their fat faces. Lots of coal tits and dunnocks too. Not sure if any are having second clutches. I pity the poor things if it stays this cold!

Glad you got yourself a treat ... I went to the garden centre but managed to resist everything except what I went for ... hedgehog food and a birthday card. I nearly succumbed to an echinacea but the colour just wasn't quite right ...
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Ooh - you were posting same time as me Hosta. Very unpleasant journey. Glad you made it in time for your appt.though. Hope something useful comes out of it.
I went out and deadheaded a few sweet peas, and brought some in while the rain was off for a few minutes. I see the slugs have beaten me to it with the Liatris. Only problem is - they were deadheading them before the flowers opened....
I've never succumbed to an Echinacea Dove...
