Trying not to think about it LilyP image

It looks as if our huge grape crop will ripen just as we leave for the West Country ... our runners and courgettes are slowing down so the neighbours will be welcome to help themselves to them and the raspberries ... I'll pick as many "green but ripening" tomatoes as I can before I go and put them on the sideboard to ripen while we're away.

The sweet peas Wonky gave me are still flowering like mad ... never known any like them ... amazing!

And some sad news ... Wonky's Lovely Hub lost a sister yesterday ... she'd had breast cancer but caught it too late and it returned with a vengence ... she still has a young family ... so sad ... it's a large but close family, with some in Antigua and some over here ... his Mum's still hale and hearty too, although not young any more ... image

That is very sad Dove. Please give Wonky a big hug and condolences to her hubby.

    Thank goodness for family.

Sympathy and hugs from me too for Wonky and her lovely hub.

    Morning all.

Lovely day so far, must muck out the field shelter before it gets too hot.

Sad news for Wonky - big hugs from here

Looks like today will be sunny ☀️ I need to cut back my lavender and sort out some encroaching nettles, but the rest of the day will be sat in the sun ???

Hosta hugs for Wonky's Lovely Hub and his family.

I went back to bed and slept until after 9.

Yes Dove, I've got antihistamine cream on it. Hubby had a horse fly bite " a week ago" but he's only started moaning about it yesterday so, being the hypochondriac, he rushed to the chemist and bought some cream.

Right, they were as good as their word, the drive belt has arrived from Germany in less than a day . I hope Royal Mail see this. I'm off to fetch it.

    Morning all.

Hugs for Wonky and her hubby.

It's now brightening up here so will get into the garden.

LP, hopefully you have the same weather and get strimming done.

Pat - a good idea to get your paintbrushes outimage

Yes Joyce, I thought so too. It feels a bit strange after all the coloured pencils and gel pens I've been using lately. It's all good practice.image
