We have leaden sky this evening with not a breath of wind - very odd. Just drizzle and midges.
Obelixx, the monument is in Calderdale - Stoodley Pike, near Todmorden (where I live). T'other side of the county boundary from Darwen.
We played lacrosse in my school. Ridiculous game, especially for one of my (restricted) height... and I have no ball sense, so tennis was a bit of a non-starter. Swimming was my thing though.
Gardener's World calls...
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Liri - I played lacrosse for 2 years at Levenshulme grammar and loved it. Moved to Lymm grammar where they play stupid hockey and was banished to never ending netball for being dangerous. How was I supposed to know the rules about sticks over shoulder height?
PP - fabulous pics. How lovey to have such a view.
Dacha - I did ask how to get vertical!
Am pleased to report that the smoked prawns are perfectly acceptable to eat but not better than normal prawns. Delighted to report that the chocolate courgette cake is luscious. Yum yum! So luscious that Possum didn't pull a "Yuk" when I told her about the courgette - after she'd eaten hers I have been known to feed her chocolate carrot cake and chocolate beetroot cake in her childhood because she thinks she doesn't like the veggies.
Wow ...PP ....my first visit to the beautiful city of Belfast was after the Fleadh Cheoil in Clones...I fell head over heels with a beautiful girl who gave me her John Lennon round glasses .....have never been there since

NB, this gay man did.
I'm sure many do and gay women too. Stupid to pretend they wouldn't. Apparently it's Antwerp Pride this weekend. Not going then Hosta?
Roll on fibre optics in the Vendée! Been trying to upload my photos to Photobucket for over an hour on the snail line.
Ob ....you seriously need to learn how to rotate your pics

Here's ours and the view from it over Beautiful Belfast!
I live at the bottom of the hill and the peregrines pay the odd visit down off the cliff.
