Those leaves are beautiful, Joyce. And beautifully arranged too.
Glad you enjoyed your hols, Chicky. Hope Chicklet can contain herself until Thursday...
We have quite a lot of wind turbines round here. I too prefer them to lines of pylons - but lots of peat is destroyed putting in the infrastructure to support them, on the moors. That's clearly a shame - releasing carbon by destroying the peat offsets the benefit of the renewable energy.
Our son is having solar panels on the new roof he needs for his garage (ex barn), and a huge bank of battery storage. He's about to lease an electric car, so free fuel makes sense...
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
I saw them once here in late spring and bought some. Haven't seen them since. Love mushrooms but they're off the menu when Possum's here as she hates the texture. I know she likes the flavour tho as I'm naughty and hide them in things like Mushroom and lentil slice which she thinks is cheese, onion and lentils...........
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

I love how the colours work together Joyce. It makes such a difference if you can them right IMO.
we are in bed, him coughing and me a bit of coughing, but mostly a very runny nose. I've got a box of tissues right next to me. At least we seem to be getting to bed a bit earlier lately and still having a sleep in.
Jules Holland had Anushka Shanka on tonight. I love Sittar music. It was worth watching the end of the show,
Joyce - lovely foliage. Lots of kitten excitement earlier as Minstrel - always a busy girl - brought in a rather large live mouse. Cosmos just sat and watched, fascinated while I went to try and rescue it. Unfortunately, Rasta doggy is faster than me so that was that. Exit, one dog with mouse firmly clamped in teeth. Good job everyone is up to date on wormers and flea and tick stuff.
Clari - can't someone else look after the plumbers?

Maybe she's a sweet cat who doesn't like killing little furry animals
Thunder and heavy rain, keep losing the TV picture. Been doing the ironing in front of the TV. The third load of washing from yesterday is still on the line.
The cottage next door to ours in Norfolk now has sold posted on Rightmove. Wonder who the next neighbours will be.
Have cleaned 3 loos, top to bottom. Spider problem at the moment. Never known them so bad, those ones with tiny bodies, long thin legs and messy webs.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

That's very pretty, Joyce. Shows what you can do with just leaves.
Wish we had portobello mushrooms here. Had them in Norfolk, so tasty and fresh.

Lovely arrangement Joyce
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

I came to work fully intending on an early finish to use up my over time...
.... or at least some of my overtime (I've four days worth).
Then plumbers arrived (two weeks after they started the job) and it doesn't look like I'll be home any time soon.

Obelixx, do you think Cosmos is maybe a teeny bit slow on the uptake?

"Our" roebuck was back in the garden yesterday morning, scrumping for apples.
No manners at all, if he didn't like the rotten apples all he had to do was say so!
Handsome little fellow though.
Not so welcome when he starts on the non-fallen apples though.
