That bench looks beautiful Liri and very inviting.  Well done.

Joyce - I suspect there's a lot more trafficking going on than we imagine possible and it will continue as long as people want cheap goods, cheap labour and cheap sex.   UK authorities identified over 3000 victims in 2015 and that's just the tip of the iceberg I reckon.

FG - When we have desserts in restaurants i always end up giving most of my cream to OH.  I like it but there's always far too much.

Sunset was a nasty, gloopy orange colour tonight.  Forecast is for mist and lots of cloud tomorrow.   No wet stuff.

I have spent the weekend at Brother in Laws new place up in Fife. Hot it was not. 10C this morning.  I spent most of the weekend on  t'interweb, trying to contact a friend and her daughter who are in Houston.  They are currently safe in the daughters flat, but my friends flat and all her furniture (fresh off the boat from Oz) is directly in line between the city  centre and the reservoirs about to break  the banks into the bayou.  Two weeks ago she was saying it was infernally hot and humid, now they are confined to the flat.  Fingers crossed the storm moves soon.  She is supposed to be getting on a plane to Pittsburgh for the imminent arrival of her second grandchild, this weekend.   It makes a boring weekend in England look very enticing.

Thanks folks - we're pleased with the results of our labours.  The seat back features cast iron sunflowers, but we decided not to   So far I've sat on the bench for about a minute... need to prune some stuff so we can see the view, too!

Just looked up that people-trafficking story, Joyce.  Unbelievable - especially the way the enslaved men have been treated by the authorities.  No compensation, threatened with expulsion even though they're not illegal migrants, thousands of pounds in debt and facing threats from those to whom they owe money in Bangladesh.
