    Morning all.

Reading up on the fracking that is scheduled exploratory work just outside the village. I wish people wouldn't get their personal agenders muddled up in it all; vilifying the farmer because it's his field (think about it logically - you can get he was offered more money than a good harvest.

Have a good first day back Chicky image

Drizzling here, but apparently it's going to clear and we'll all have a dry warm day image

Morning Chicky, dove and Clari. Thanks for the good wishes.

    love that tree.

Clari, we have a similar problem in our village. One of our friends was approached  by a telephone company for permission to erect a tower on his property and to allow them maintenance access, etc. Talk about a carry on by the people in the village and blaming our friend for seeking money from the company, sending bad signal waves throughout the environment, upsetting the koala population, etc, etc. etc. They are such small minded red necks here. image

    Good morning everyone

magnificient tree, you could look at it for hours and see different things

out of interest do you know how much a farmer gets a year for a wind turbine? Would make you go out and measure your garden!

    Morning all.

We have lots of wind turbines around here.

    Here's "mine"

    image

You can make it out in the dip of the lowest part of the trees.

I can see it from the breakfast room and I use it as a weather vane. I can tell wind direction and how windy it is as soon as I get up in the morning.

Lots of folk  hate them. I hate the power lines you can see running down the lane more.

    Morning all.

I don't mind seeing wind turbines from a distance.....prefer them to lines of pylons....but wouldn't like to live in close proximity to them.

I'd rather look at turbines then a nuclear power station.

There was a report on the local news last night about Lithium "mining" starting in Cornwall.

If " the powers that be" gave decent returns on home generated electricity and scrapped the tarrifs on PVPs and help develop battery technology, maybe more of us could generate and store our own power.

I'm sure " the big six " power suppliers would hate it. So much for privitisation eh? " cheap electricity for everyone" was the mantra if I remember correctly.
