    Can anyone identify this caterpillar? Rather small with orange and blue patterns.

    Maybe an Oak Eggar, the patterns and colours change as they grow and morph so it's a hard one to identify.

    If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

    Insect of the day award goes to Lady Hale's brooch. :o  At least I hope it's a brooch and not a live gift from Boris :#

    I found a tiny little hawkmoth caterpillar while picking beans this evening. Here it is perched on my finger tip.

    It's a pity they don't eat weevils @wild edges :D
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....



    I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
