This is something I've wanted to see for ages, it's just a shame it happened at night which made it hard to get good photos. A couple of weeks ago I posted the wolf spider carrying her egg sac about and this is what it looks like when the spiderlings hatch out. You can see the egg sac at the bottom and the babies crawl up onto her back for her to carry around for a few days until they're big enough to survive on their own. In the second pic you can see the one just behind her head is a carbon copy of the adult in miniature

Well she's out basking in the sun today and the babies have arranged themselves very neatly in rows on her back. I need to learn focus stacking to get a better depth of field for this type of thing.
