    Hi all.

I am here LP, or maybe I am not, certainly feeling a bit disorientated. Something to do with OH getting up at silly o'clock to catch her train.

Finally stopped raining, but garden looking very bedraggled. A little bit of trussing up maybe called for.

Hope airport trip is not too distressing Chicky.

    Morning all.
I’ll be thinking of Chicky this morning and hoping it’s not too hard.

Nanny Beach too. I know how it feels. We had an extension built here in France, years ago, included new master bedroom and kitchen. None of the masons, carpenters, roofers plumbers etc turned up at the right time. The architect told me that the roofers would be on holiday in August, then a roofer told me he was looking forward to his holiday next week – July! I told the architect but he didn’t arrange anything. The beams were up but it was uncovered. The carpenter had already put up beams in the kitchen and a wooden ceiling. There were terrible thunderstorms in July and the wood all got terribly stained. That wasn’t the only thing that went wrong, we ended up going to court. After 8 years we won the case and were given compensation, but my first OH died of a heart attack before it was over.

OH is very upset, his BIL has just died. His sister died a few years ago and he and BIL were very close.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Sorry to hear about everyone's problems. Hope things get better for everyone soon - obviously not about your OH BIL, BusyL.

    Morning all.

Yet another hideous on off, on off night of sleep again.

The sun is , sort of , shining and it's very pleasantly warm. Good enough for me.

Sorry about the conservatory and those with poorly friends

BL ... our condolences to your OH ... so very sorry.

Hosta ... I was wide awake at 4 ish ... now I've been changing the bedding again (did it yesterday) ... we bought a new duvet cover and pillowslips online (dangerous being stuck on the sofa for 6 weeks) ... when they arrived we were doubtful about the colour but decided to go with it, washed them and put them on the bed ... the colour's wrong ... totally wrong .... can't live with it ... can't sleep restfully under it knowing it's wrong ... can't put up with it .... will give it to DD as it will be perfect for their guest room ... oh the trials and tribulations of being painters ..image
