It depends how long it takes them to make a decision. When you think of people travelling from all over etc. Problem is l'm not on social media so will have to keep checking the website. It's such a shame image

well the rain came down hard for about 6 hours yesterday afternoon, my allotment has flooded, but only slowly, on the plus side everything's been given a damn good water!

Talking to my mate who works in the Chatsworth gardens says that the show will be fine to open. And i think it will take a lot more rain than what is coming for the Derwent to burst its banks, even with the coming rain, but bring wellies!

I have thought about bringing my wellies. As it's the RHS flower show does it have to be posh wellies? Mine are splashed with fence paint . image

Or will I not be let in at all  if they are not  "Hunter"  brand.

Oh keep up will you Hunters are so passe!  One of the posh garden centres near me stopped stocking them 18 Months ago. Their top of the range now is some French brand that start at about £200 quid a time!

On a serious note hope everyone has a good time- we decided it was a bit too far for a day out.

That's my Society credibilty gone then. All down to having the wrong wellies.   image

Fraid so Iamweedy, you & me both, hope they let you in anyway!

Anyway 2 weeks on & where is the rain now?  After the heatwave of the last week & a bit we could really do with some. Spending all my time watering again!!

Yes proper rain today. I have had to do a heck of a lot of watering over the last few very dry and hot weeks.

I never actively water the lawn that has to fend for itself,  I hand water the many pots of flowers and put the sprinkler on the beds so as little as possible goes on the lawn .   The newly planted stuff is really vulnerable until it is established.

We are on water meters here now.  (Don't know what the resident garden labourer will think , it's him that pays the water rates. )
