We've been busy imageimage  .. OH has moved the little garden shed along a bit which makes all the difference to the way the garden looks ... now it needs painting before it gets honeysuckle and clematis clambering up it and the fence. Some time soon (when we get around to it) we'll put up a little pergola at the end of the path that goes past the shed to the seat in the corner of the garden ........... it's all coming together now image

I've also sown my Morning Glory seeds and done some more pricking out and potting on. Watering has also been high on the agenda as some of the bigger herbaceous perennials in the sunny bed began to flag ... I took the spray bit off the end of the hose and just left it to trickle on the bed for a good while ... then put the seeper hose  on the Shady Bank to give the clematis and honeysuckles there a good drink. I'll do the west facing border tomorrow morning before the sun gets around that side of the house.

While we were out there we were joined by a blackbird and a robin, helping themselves to the grubs and worms we disturbed as well as the last of the live mealworms from the bag in the bottom of the fridge (from Amazon). There were also several recently fledged bluetits from our nest box, learning to navigate the garden ... such fun watching them image

And of course, considerable time was spent laying on our tums looking into the pond watching our pond snails and frogs image

Now we're stuffed full of Chinese takeaway image

Wonderful news Lizzieimage. A house full of boys will be fun, if a little boisterous image

Planted out all the plants in my cold-frame, and filled it up again with things to plant out next week.  Lots beginning to flower out there now, it was a pleasure to be amongst it all image

Thanks for all the kind thoughts re my Dad - I hope all those positive vibes will speed his recovery image

    Evening all.

Congratulations to BL on grandchild no.10!  Lovely news.  But commiserations to Chicky's dad.  Hope he's soon back on his feet.

OH's birthday tomorrow, so I've spent the afternoon making a cake and wrapping presents, along with the other stuff which absolutely HAD to be done in the garden, cos it's going to rain most of the week, apparently.

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
