     I very rarely cut flowers for the house either which was why I started this thread! And everyone 's posies have been fab.

    That's a gorgeous rose in the front of your jar.

    Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

    imageimageimage  Meet my friend Oswald.  He sits all day by the living-room window, watching what passes in the street.  His favourite flowers are the lawn weeds.  My favourites are being a bit shy in the jam jar, so here are some better pictures of them.  The poppies are stupendous, some of the flowers are as big as tennis balls and as dense as cabbages.  Too vulgar no doubt for some tastes, but I love them.  Especially as they arrived uninvited.  The white and lilac geranium is a bit more refined.  I like that no two flowers have the same markings.

    Nice flowers, Josusa!  I like Oswald's choice too; lawns are better with a bit of colour in, in my opinion.  image

    BM, image Sweet peas are gorgeous.  I regret not growing any this year.
