    Not garden related but had to tell somebody.  Bristol City beat Man United at football!  If you are surprised at me getting so excited at nearly ninety it is because my father played for Alloa when I was young and i still remember the thrill of watching football games with him as I grew up.  He taught me what being a good member of a team was like- very useful when I took up hockey.

    Marion, I was pleased when I heard the result too. Nice to see an underdog winning.

    Was your father Scottish? Alloa still has a football team.

    My husband too was happy United got beat as he supports Arsenal, his dad brought him up with Arsenal image

    Going to have Xmas dinner with my third son and his partner who are doing Xmas dinner for her parents and my three other sons as well as me!  Must find out if I need to take my  own stool!  Having had seven children I am used to big family Xmasses.

    Awe that sounds lovely Marion I'm sure you will enjoy it, we are going to my parents house and my brother too, so helping mum make our meal then we normally sit around the tree handing our presents out image
