Thanks for all your kind comments. I'm on  duty for a couple of days so won't get any gardening done. Have ordered quite a few plants for the pond margins and surrounds will post a list when I get a chance.

It looks fantastic Yvie - can't believe what you have achieved in such a short space of time.  Bet you are delightedimage  Hope you get pond creatures move in very soon

  • Wow Yvie, well done.image I agree with Angie, it fits perfectly into the rest of the garden.

I'm very impressed with how good the lawn looks despite the work that must have been done in the area!

Really marvellous Yvie. All set up and ready to go for all that pond watching in the summer  image

It's surprising how quickly it can take shape if you get the weather and time. Look forward to seeing all the new planting going in.

    Hi Folks,

A bit more progress made on the pond today.  I've been out planting it up even though it was freezing out there brrr.  Here are a couple of photos

You have done an excellent job with the edging. So many people just don't think about the levels properly and have loads of black liner on display. Well done!

Thanks hogweed, hopefully once the ground cover plants and the marginals have filled out it will be hidden totally.  Might have a bit of a problem at the beach end if the water levels drop a lot but we'll have to see.  Don't want to be in a position where it needs regular topping up.
