LP - how typical! Glad you got a few cuddles, but hope you're all right
Do you think DD is in there now? Sending fairy hugs anyway...
Joyce - Mamores hopefully. Forecast has changed half a dozen times since Wednesday, but Sunday is looking promising. It's a bank holiday too , so I expect hills will be busy - unfortunately. Will take crampons just in case, and I'll make sure I don't forget my knee braces this time....
Hosta - what are we going to do with you? Not safe to be let out on your own....
Hope they can get to the bottom of it (no pun intended ) but it does sound like kidney stones.
I wonder if Yvie has remortgaged the house....
Double figures here, so I might get some stuff done outside. Grass to cut, and a few things to lift and split.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
No remortgage necessary Fairy, got waylaid in the garden and never got to Ashwoods. I've planted out some dark purple and pink wallflowers grown from seed. Should be glorious next spring. Also planted out a couple of Alchemelia Mollis, I know they seed around but don't think they are too hard to pull up.
Hosta what a mystery this is for you, have they scanned you?
Fairy enjoy your walk, hope the weather holds
Yvie I don't think I have ever seen pink wallflower
Joyce my alchemilla really dont seed much and they do look so good beside the forget me not
looks like I have been nursing plantain seedlings all winter thinking they were verbascum? Very sadly I have lost the best of the actinidia kolomikta, it happens every year! I inspected the new herb garden, b....y mice have been in? Who would have thought they liked purple sage
however oh has almost finished the new fruit cage and I am thrilled!

Hosta - wow that is a lot!!!! My question is... how do you keep slugs and snails away! They must love your garden haha!!
I mentioned a while ago I have the beautiful "Elijah Blue" grass but it's not looking too fantastic at the moment. It's touch and go as to whether it's going to come out with any new fresh growth but it's not looking promising!!
Dare I say it, I think they might be going to give me the money.
Very nice man, determined to get it past next man, thinks it will be a huge success and loves my numbers. Sent me back to the estate agents to alter a little anomaly so he can give me more money and he putting all his effort into getting me the money asap. He even offered to get me 6 months without paying the mortgage to start off but I don't want that, I prefer to get on with it. Fingers crossed for the next man up the ladder, but this time I really do believe it will get through. It's Charlie's favourite bank too because they won the Vendee Globe Race.

Hope things go well this afternoon DD.
Mmm still time to pop to ashwoods
Better to deadhead them Yvie - the alchemilla. It's surprising how sturdy the roots are on even a tiny plant....

LP, I had an abdominal X Ray about 3 weeks ago and and an ultrasound on Monday, and another yesterday at the hospital. All clear.
Clearly , I'm one of life's mysteries.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
lovely big fruit cage LP plus the protection of the wall.
