That's hopeful Dove. Hope it keeps going well for ages for you.

Obelixx, I laughed out loud at your idea of giving the sauce to Regina. Trouble is we don't have her for meals, just tea and biscuits in the evening. Although, Hubby has been baking Banana cake today, so if she comes around this weekend, she might get some of that. (If there's any left). It's rather moorish.image

we need to check with the true place to find out if the tyre has arrived from Sydney yet and then take the car in for the job. Could be interesting.

Pat, it's just as well you have other transport as it's a bit of a hassle having a tyre sent from Sydney.

Pat - I didn't mean give her the sauce.I meant eat loads so she gets ponged away.

Right. I didn't get that,  it it's worth thinking about. The question is, can we bear to have the garlic breath ourselves. image

Like I said, eat enough and you won't notice but she will.  Start bunging a clove in every sauce or casserole you make and roast whole cloves with your Sunday roast to enhance the gravy..

Joyce, I try not to complain about the disadvantages of living away from the main centres, because there are lots of positives to being here, but I must admit that the example of not being able to get things that to my mind should be straight forward, drive both of us crazy at times. I even need to go to Canberra for knitting wool now. Lots of the little shops in town have closed And the bigger shops that have driven them out of business don't sell quality stock. Usually acrylic rather than wool.

as you say, luckily, Hubby has his own vehicle. So we're not stuck out here.

Im hitting the sack now. Catch you all in the morning.

    Evening all.

Well....... As I set out to potter in the garden  , little was I expecting to spend the day with the wonderful NHS.

Another "episode" of pain this morning. The postman heard me screaming in pain and came into the garden to find me in a ball on the ground. Neighbour came round and called an ambulance.

Lots more tests and bloods etc, Still no positive ID on the cause. image

Thanks Joyce. Normally it's about 10 -15 minutes of really intense pain, then, as if a switch has been thrown, it stops. No residual pain. NOWT

Not today. It went on for about an hour and a half , accompanied by some pretty violent vomiting ( sorry if you're getting din dins sorted now )  and has been sore ever since.

    Doc appointment at 9.15 tomorrow.

    Devon.

Sounds horrid, Hosta. But like my son when he had kidney stones.

I read that chewing parsley after eating garlic gets rid of the taste and smell. I tried it, does work a bit.

Been in the GH today potting on and sowing. All is now ready for the house sitter to look after. Must put the horse in a new paddock tomorrow. Leaving on Saturday.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
