Joyce - I do keep a woolly hat in the car for just such emergencies, but there was no need to put it on.  It actually felt warmer outdoors this afternoon than in the house image

Our flight has been cancelled because of the strike. But all is not lost because OH booked another flight  from Bordeaux on Saturday morning, back on Friday evening. Changing the hire car was more expensive as he'd booked the one from Stanstead on a January special offer and there was a cancellation fee. But at least we are going! House sitter gets back on Saturday and can stay a day later so that's OK too.
