Mark, That was previously a dead area as there was a large pine tree. Someone before us, tied it up with orange nylon baler twine so it snapped about 1m from the ground giving us a nice big chunk to play with.
Thank you Lyn! so looking forward to a tour round Hostas garden!
I've been out in the garden all day today, its been exhilarating! got a lot done.
Been shifting plants aroundfrom various places to go in the bed by the pergola. There are now two honeysuckle, a climbing rose and a summer jasmine up the pergola all taken from other parts of the garden. I've made two herb beds, and found a home for my iris who's had been growing in tubs waiting for a home. There are foxgloves around a single petal pale bush rose and gladioli bulbs dotted around all over! The theme being FREE and provides height for screening! Flint edged then barkchip to finish. now roasting chicken hope everyone has had wonderful gardening weather, here's for more tomorrow!

Wow Hosta, I'd love to take a tour around those paths and see what's laying in wait around each bend! Maybe a video tour upload when spring has sprung

What a sizeable blank canvas to start on Hosta, will enjoy seeing your progression through pictures
I can do a video for you? Did mine last autumn.
