I know l'm preaching to the converted, but don't forget those bowls of water and keep them topped up.
4.30 this morning in my garden  :)

Water bowls are still out each night and so is the food.

But, not seen the hogs for over 3 weeks.

Hogs come every night and clear the dish, but I think the water is just as much of a pull.

We have some very hungry hedgehogs and they seem far more desperate for food than water. They have been clearing the feeding bowl every night. They could be drinking out of the pond but there are several shallow dishes of water, including near the food, which seem remarkably untouched.

Those of you with hedgehog houses in your garden might find this interesting.

It's interesting that they were less inclined to nest if there was a pond nearby. I wonder why that is.

Maybe it made the area too busy, with the likelihood of a predator finding them @thevictorian

Our hog house is actually a half flowerpot, about 20” depth on its side under the hedge at the bottom of the garden next to our tiny wildlife pond .It gets a lodger every year ,dont  know if it’s the same one that’s why I say lodger , but we do nothing at all for it except put out water in hot weather .They just do their own thing happily with no interference from us at all .
