That's the patio light at 9pm @Logan4 , they never mind when I switch the light on to see if anyone is about.😁
Yes they are not good at sharing are they @Guernsey Donkey2 😁

Well the wet weather may have kept the adults in bed, but the babies came as usual, possibly even longer as one turned up at 8.40pm and the last one left at 6.35am. Had both in the feeding station at once again, and again that's the moment a cat turns up, they took no notice and the cat sniffed and then left, wonder if there is a mouse about.🤔

That's great news, mine are a bit more shyer than that.
I've put 2 house bricks in front of my feeding station, about 5in away, that will stop cats and foxes getting in.

They didn't come so very often last night, it had been raining so there would have been natural food around.

I didn't put bricks in front of the feeding station as we have no foxes. Also no one would go into the hog house when it had a brick tunnel,  but now we have removed it they are using it, good job its the type with a separate room and corridor.

I have two feeding stations. One is a simple upturned plastic storage box with an opening cut into one end then lined with tape on the sharp edges. It's weighed down with a couple of roofing tiles. The hogs alternate from the Spikeys food inside to the water bowl outside. The camera regularly catches foxes and cats investigating but none ever appear to try and get inside.

The second is open in the heavy undergrowth near the hog house. The hogs visit this the same evening as the enclosed feeding station. It is also regularly visited by foxes and normally within minutes of each other so they seemingly happily co-exist. As for the number of slugs I wonder if the hogs ever eat any judging by those on the bowl!

That's great news, good that it works for you. We have cats roaming around in the night, but they don't seem bothered at all.

@Hexagon Amazon have a huge range and you can get them for less that Aldi. Lots to chose from. I'm no expert but I have the Apeman series which have good reviews and I paid £60+ if I recall correctly. Colour photos during the day and black and white during darkness. Can also have video or a combination of video and pics.

@Hexagon, we have a couple of those Aldi cameras, they do a good job.

Night cameras are great. 120 pictures/videos last night of two hogs backwards and forwards to food and water from 8.45pm till 6am, mine is set to take three photos then video for a minute,  its surprising what we would miss with just one photo or no video. 😁 mine was from Amazon.
