Needless to say,  after posting the above l went out to find an empty dish!
Annoyingly,  l hadn't bothered to put the camera out, so unless they were eaten by the enormous slug l found nearby, l can only assume they were eaten by a spiky friend.
I will put some dog food out tonight - what's the betting that no hedgehogs appear ?
  • Might have been the birds @AnniD. 😁

Not unless they can find their way through a tunnel @purplerallim 😁
The pigeons definitely wouldn't get in, although a small spuggie might. They are very cunning around here.
  • So are the blackbirds @AnniD.😁
  • I hope you catch him on camera tonight Anni,it would be good to see him or them again.😊

I have my fingers crossed @Valley Gardener !
I have put cat biscuits out and OH will be putting the camera out later.

Alas, no hedgehog again last night, but weirdly the biscuits have been moved inside the feeding station. I only put half a dozen out and carefully placed them in the centre of the dish. This morning they have moved, but nothing caught on camera, not even a mouse (or cat drinking the water).
My money is still on the slugs,  l expect the dish is covered in slime. Yeuch.
  • Maybe Hog is filling up on juicy fat slugs, and is too stuffed for biscuits.😊

Judging by the rain we've had, he could be in for a veritable feast 😁.
  • Don't know about that @Valley Gardener the last hog I saw , walked straight past a big juicy slug and munched the hog food instead .🙄🐾🦔🐌
