Thanks BusyL well done with your open day! A great turn out! But personally I'd be disappointed that there was no cake left!
Fairy, you are right! its so lively to sit in a beautiful place that I created from wasteland!
Lilyp, thank you! its not perfect but its so much improved and there are so many different types of bees, butterflies and moths as well as birds and bugs, so I think nature approves of my influence!
We had step womble over this weekend, just qualified as a teacher and came home for home cooking and a catch up, I've been commissioned to DO her garden when they move! we sat outside and had cocktails in the evening lovely to have a nice garden to sit in when you work as a gardener all day!
I wanted to share this photo with you. When we got home from shopping this afternoon, there were Roos all over the yard, but one lovely huge dark brown male stopped just up from where we unload the car, and just stayed and watched us for ages. I think he's gorgeous! We usually only have pale grey ones.

Awesome Pat!
I can't compete with that for wildlife in the garden but snapped some nectar lovers in mine today:
We don't get that type of bee here. Aren't they pretty, AuntyRach.
Fantastic pics Aunty Rach - so sharp
