My hostas are only just poking their noses out image  The slugs are eating my clematis buds as a starter before their main course appears. image

They tend to leave the hostas alone really because they have slate chippings under them.

Fairy, like the zingy euphorbia with the red tulips. Are the pots on far left thalia by any chance? mine have started to flower....earlier than last year.

Dave, the clianthus is beautiful. I take it that you live in a warm part of the UK.

Hi Joyce, we're in southern Hampshire just east of Southampton. The Clianthus seems to be in the ideal spot (it was already here when we moved in 3+ years ago) on a south / south-westerly garage wall. To the immediate left is our house against which we have a pergola with glass panels on top which makes this area a proper little warm sun trap.

Afternoon all. Hope everyone had a productive day in the garden or where ever  they were.

wow that Clianthus is thriving. I have a friend in New Zealand and that one is every bit a good as the one she has in her garden. She is not a gardener tho in nz they thrive with very little care. I think they might be a native plant but not sure.
