Pink is not really my favourite flower colour but the Azaleas and Rhododendrons have their glory season in a riot of pinks so I embrace that.
I have three mature Rhods down one side of the garden: the vivid neon pink, a bright rosy pink and a pastel pink. The pastel one is a bit poorly this year - some fungus I think, and it had been crowded out by a conifer (which is now no longer with us!). I am keeping positive that it will recover this year, but am slightly worried in case the fungus goes to the others.
They are quite exotic, showy flowers but I have a little white Azalea which is a real cutie.

Thanks GD, Mark and Tom
Fabulous colours Joyce, my pink azalea (in a pot) is just about to break, aren't they great?
Cloggie, I love azaleas and have quite a few. The others aren't open yet.
I am not usually a fan of pink but:
Beautiful azalea AuntyRach.
Wow, Aunty Rach, think I need some cucumber slices on my eyes after that!
Your gardens are looking lovely, Joyce and James O.

The 'unknown' tree peony decided to open today:
Worth waiting 10 years for (well, maybe!) and spotted another couple of buds:
Love a peony! That's a smasher! Bees will be straight in there!
