    No idea what happened there.

Busy, as usual, your garden has the WOW factor and I'm sure it would be very difficult to find many weeds.

The long border has erupted in a few weeks and the begonias are superb.

Agreed, Joyce.  I love the fact that your garden has such a lot of foliage, BL, setting off the flowers.  It's very restful.  image

BL "My garden is getting overgrown and messy looking."

Hm, not bad at all for an "overgrown and messy" garden.image I'm sure many of us would like to have such luxuriant borders.

Love your lobelias, Iamweedy. What kind are they?

Lobelia cardinalis 'Russian Princess',  which is a pinkier red than Queen Victoria. The slugs love it which is a problem. I have it in pots.

I bought the Agapanthus in M&S years ago one lunch time at work. Not sure what variety but quite compact and does not flop about. It is a deep blue. I don't seem to do subtle colours.

They grew on and I divided them. One was killed off in the bitter winter of 10/11 despite being in the garage. Now I have two big pots full doing really well.

My pots are full of rudbeckia, scabious, cannas, dahlias, fennel, Echinacea and salvia amistad.

It was a lovely surprise to see this after two weeks on holiday
