Thanks BM. It's amazing how getting going on those jobs lifts my spirit, hence wandering around with the camera.

Love the other photos too Fairy and Chris. image

  • Beautiful roses Pat - how do you manage to produce such lovely plants in such dry conditions? Are those just ordinary common daisies?  They surely must be extra hardy to cope with the dry?imageThe Spring garden here, mainly daffodils and hellebore and tiny pond in the front.

Lovely pic Pat image I actually saw a couple of daisies in my grass today!

oh GD that pic could be from a book, such  a beautiful scene image

  • Thanks Beaus Mum, you almost expect to see a pixie sitting on one of the toadstools don't you.  Most older Guernsey gardens have these locally made granite toadstools, the smaller one is a modern version, the larger could be 100 years plus old.

Hi GD and BM. The Daisy is Erigeron but can't remember the species - probably kawinskianus.  It's drought and frost hardy - from Central and North America. I've had it so long that I can't remember the correct name, but it just keeps on keeping on.image That garden bed has a soaker hose which I turn on most mornings and leave it to ooze all day then turn it off late in the day. It seems the best way to cope here.

GD I'm impressed with your lovely garden. The mushrooms etc are really effective in that setting.
