    Thats not a small garden Papa Jo, a small garden is about 30 feet, although I have seen small than that, it is absolutely gargeous!

    @Victoria Sponge,

    I like your mixture of plants. Nice colour associations too. Hope you don't run out of flowers too soon!

    Looks like a green oasis, Paul. Love the little paths looking as though they are leading you somewhere lovely.

    Lovely garden Paul. Looks like a woodland fairy garden and I expect to see a knome pop his head out the foliage at any moment.

    Doghouse Riley your Japanese theme garden is beautiful. Sometime I wish I had the restraint to build something like that but I love to many different plants and flowers to stick to a theme. Your tea house looks like new but I spotted that you built it 30 years ago. That is true dedication to keep it in such good condition for so long.

    To see a world in a grain of sand and heaven in a wild flower Hold infinity in the palm of your hand and eternity in an hour.

  • Appreciate the comments thanks.

    When we moved in the garden seemed huge but it was entirely long grass and wild flowers. I quite liked it actually

    Then I read about forest gardening and had a go without really having a good plan other than wanting lots of fruit bushes, trees, canes etc. It got a bit out of hand to be honest and I have been reigning it back in ever since. Light is always a problem for a lot of the garden and when we choose plantsd now the first thing we look for is what;'s it like in shade.

    Pap jo, glad I am not the only one without "smart" phone, OH doesnt have/use a mobile phone at all, they have made folk very rude,dangerous and antisocial, my daughters latest does take amazing quality pics, however. Why do other peoples gardens always look soooh much nicer/better than ones own!!!
