    Nope! That's the wrong one. Sorry!

    Thanks Fairy, I'm still shuddering at the idea of painting my gorgeous pergola a deep colour.  I think it would be the right thing to do but I just daren't thus far.

    It has a wisteria on it so when it flowers there'll be pix here as this year I actually did the right thing and February pruned it to three having done late summer to five nodules.  It promises to be a bumper floral year (my third as custodian of this plant that was a well established skinhead when I took it on!).

    <fingers crossed>

    Cloggie - be brave image

    As wisteria is quite a light colour (or white) it would set it off well if you have a dark background. I have a dark clematis on my screen, which is painted a soft green. The contrast is really nice.

    Look forward to your pix anyway - hope it flowers well  image

    What fruit are you growing LP? I love that wall!

    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

    Enjoyed your spring flower show Berghill.  In particular the alpine house.....I could droll over these pots for ages;  the large clumps of pulsatilla.....I haven't seen the pale lilac one before and the Auriculas....love their colours.

    If you lived close enough you would be welcome to select yourself some of the Auriculas, I have lots which in the end will go on the compost heap as being not as good as ones already in commerce. They are good enough to plant out in the border, but not up to show standard is what I mean.

    imageimageWoodland gardens are my favourite.

  • That glade must smell glorious AWBimage I love hyacinths, especially when upright.

    These seem earlier than previous years, Trepolo:

    Should have a constant wave of daffs now for the next month or so, haven't had to start deadheading yet despite the recent weather weirdness. Had a few windfalls though.
