They're only tiny the flowers on the nepaulensis Beaus Mum, and they are shy but I'm very pleased to have it in the garden as winter interest.
I caught a hoverfly ...
And the Mahonia Aquifolium is flowering this year after being discovered under an overgrown philadelphus
Was it Clematis Armandii Beaus Mum? If so, give it plenty of room. I had one on a South East facing fence and it got massive.
Hi cloggie just checked and yes you are right it is armandii. Thank you for the tip x
Tulip Giuseppe Verdi makes its regular March appearance with its miniature narcissus friends. Location is Aylesford, Kent.
These early tulips are a sight for sore eyes.

Yes I guess you're right BM. I just hadn't thought of it in those terms. We're just starting into autumn here so things are slowing down a bit.
Beautiful tulips, jeninkent, especially when opened in the sun.
Almost full moon.
Lovely tulip Jen, think you get first prize for first tulip for us 2017 ?
Loving your moon Pat
Thanks BM. I couldn't get it clear though. It's sort of fuzzy to look at.
