Marion, if the plants are spreading already it will look lovely in the spring.

Today seems to be a repeat of yesterday weatherwise - 9 degrees already and very foggy.  If it does not rain I may be able to get out in the garden.  The next four days are continuing mild too , then colder weather is forecast.

No gardening as it did not stop drizzling all day and the fog was very persistent too.  No help arrived in the shape of my youngest son but I had told him I no longer garden in the rain in  winter if i can help it so did not really expect him to make the bus journey.  I watched and enjoyed the film "Cromwell" instead.

Very mild still at 9 degree but forecast is for heavy rain this morning inn Bristol and a dry spell in the afternoon.  I have just put out the green wheeliebin for emptying and it gets emptied again on Saturday morning so hope for some dry weather to get it filled up again.  Next week we will be back to our regular Friday collection.

My bird friends are still visiting for their breakfast despite the drizzle we are having.  This is Tosser who sends bread crumbs flying all over the patio, under chairs and the table which suits the robin and blackbird and hedge sparrow fine as they get some shelter to eat their crumbs in.imageimage

Marion, you would miss being out today.

I did over half an hour before lunch.. . . down on my knees clearing another area, thick with leaves, where the crocus grow.  This had all been done earlier but the storms we had, over xmas, have meant that garden needs cleared again.

Rained in afternoon so that put paid to more clearing.
