Liri, it's not Soldanella Villosa as it has a purple flower (I have it) Had a look on the Kevock site but they only have Villosa..If you find out I'd like to know please.
Marion, there was lovely warm sun from 10 - 2pm then it suddenly became very chilly so I packed up and came in to the warmth. You have a good range of plants in flower just now.
Joyce, I have Soldanella villosa too, and it flowers a lot later (and runs all over the place - I love it!). I got this one at the Harrogate flower show one year. The leaves are smaller than villosa's, and it makes a neat little clump. I know I had 'Spring Symphony' and Soldanella alpina, so this is probably one of those... my bet would be alpina I think.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Lovely day for gardening in Bristol so I have planted more King Edward potatoes and divided lots of primulas which have been amazing this year. still more to do after lunch. I divided up my big clump of chionodoxa too so should have more of them next spring. I will do the same with the puschkinia next week. Lots of plants for free! Once the patio picnic table is cleared of pots of cuttings I will start covering it with plants for the Botanic Garden sale at Easter to make their funds some money.
Lovely day here too Marion in Cheshire. Planted out my early potatoes, broad beans and the last of my beetroot seedlings. Isn't it great to see the spring sunshine? It makes us feel that Spring has really arrived at last. Still cold in the mornings though! Gardeners' World on tonight, now that's a cheerful thought.
Good morning Marion and all, gorgeous blue sky in the NW this morning but a touch of frost too, can't wait to get on my new wellie boots and get in the garden, lots of trimming, prodding the lawn and feeding to do.
You too, Flumpy. splendid day for gardening in Bristol today and no cooking to do tomorrow as I am going to son no3 for Mothers' day lunch. Do not do any prodding with a fork in wellies - change into stout boots for that!
Ho your pictures are gorgeous Marion , think I will put my boots on then Marion I don't want holy wellies.
just waiting for British Gas to come, my boiler as suddenly stopped working, it only had a service in Febuary and its only four years old.
hope you have a lovely day tomorrow Marion, we (family) are all going for a meal tonight as it was my Birthday on Thursday so we are doing Birthday & Mother's Day in one

The daffs are nearly over but the tulips have arrived to keep the hyacinths happy. And here and there a cheerful anemone.
