I imagine a red deer would frighten the horses! Or maybe a stray dog running wild? We have roe deer in woods near here and wild boar and foxes. No pheasants for some reason. Saw some roe deer for the first time when we heading off to La Rochelle on Saturday morning so I expect they'd been spooked into the open by hunters or dogs.
We have a robot! Plugged in to charge up and then we'll let it loose tomorrow. OH is off to play golf so I shall go and play in the garden shed and organise my tools my way.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

GWRS that too big a job. I'm still feeling weak after my virus and log man is bunged up with a cold. Just need to get posts in as quickly as possible so horses can go back in the winter paddock. Posts only hold electric ribbon.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Morning everyone. We've got a cloudy day today, so it's been much more pleasant to move around. The tomatoes are all ripening, so we have been having lots of meals with tomatoes in them.
Hosta, I was wondering if you have some psychic ability. I was watching a show by Michael Mosley about heat stress etc, when you sent that post about acclimatising myself. Do tell. I'll have to be careful if you're tuning in.
Little trip to GC yesterday lunchtime resulted in a few 9cm perennial pots jumping in to my basket, as well as the hellebore already mentioned (lupins -pink, white, blue and lychnis alba). Best go and get them out of the car boot before I set off again. Nice drizzly day should give them a gentle water before they get tucked up in the GH this evening and then potted on at the weekend

BL , have you thought about putting the posts in concrete ?
