    Wow, they are impressive, Aym!

I'd love to grow a Gloriosa, but we've got cats living around here and I'm worried that it could harm them.

    That's good to hear, Aym.

Cats are connoiseurs, so your garden must be a really nice one!

  • imageimage. Wow, I've got three cats but my garden doesn't look much at the minute, despite 6 builders bags of leaves been taken to skip and there is no end in sight at the moment..?.

    Blue Peter badge for Aym.....???

  • Read the rules and have not looked at anyone's post! image  My top three gifts to myself are:

    1) Rosa Mundi (been in love with this ALL year and absolutely have to have one!!)

    2) A beautiful plum tree - already nice and big and good to go!

    3) Salvias... Salvias.... And more salvias!

An eating apple tree, a wildflower meadow patch for the shady area under my Hollies (with all the prep work magically done) and a climbing rose which smells good and likes semi-shade (any colour except bright pink).

(If anyone knows of a suitable rose that fits the description - please advise - although that would show that you have 'peeked' at the responses!)

My garden and I live in South Wales.

AuntyRach, The Lady of the Lake has very pale pink flowers and a lovely scent. It's a repeat-flowering rambler: http://www.davidaustinroses.co.uk/the-lady-of-the-lake-rambling-rose The one I've got is much paler pink than it looks in the picture. (I've only began peeking at the responses once I wrote mine. image )

    Hi All,

There are 2 shrubs I've got on my "wish list "..... e

Enkianthus campanulatus .... saw this at Benmore Botanic Garden when it was in flower.

I'd also love to have corylopsis veitchiana.

My third choice is more trilliums ..... can't have enough of these!!

    I haven't peeked at others' selections, so here are my top three (in no particular order) . . . . . . . .

    hmmmmmmmmm . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

    3.  A Red Poinsettia

    2.  A Red Poinsettia

    1.  A Red Poinsettia

I can't think of anything that says "Christmas" better than this.  (note:  a pink one, a white one or a sort-of-variegated-pink one just won't cut the mustard imo)
