..oh that's nice, I wish you every success with it, if it proves to be unique.  It may be just a little different to something already out there...    If it has a long season I wouldn't mind having one of those...

  • It's been in flower for several weeks but I haven't really tested it and suspect it'll do a few months, like 'Rozanne'

Marlorena do you have to cut back your 'Patricia' too or does it just carry on flowering all season without having to be deadheaded?

CraighB....I snip off the spent flowers but I don't cut the foliage off.   I only cut it back at this time  of year to clear it all away.   If you have the genuine 'Patricia', then it blooms right into Autumn.. I find it's best left to its own devices and let it ramble..

  • Responding to CraighB's post dated Nov 2016, The geranium in question looks like Geranium X magnificum.  It is a hybrid,  a cross between two species, one of which was G. ibericum "Johnson's Blue".  As is usual with hibrids, it is sterile.  Suggested url for more information:  https://www.ballyrobertgardens.com/products/geranium-x-magnificum

The other one you (CraighB) asked about with the magenta flowers, looks to me like Geranium psilostemon.

@comerslrxVN5N640 did you look at the date of that thread? November 2016. I'm sure your answer is correct though, just out of date.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
