Hello folks. Just realised I hadn't had any notifications for this thread for a while... it seems that if you don't post often enough the notifications dry up.
Anyway - love your latest offerings, Fairy. And those tomatoes look gorgeous, Pat. Hope they tasted as good as they looked!
Here's one of mine from November on Lismore.
As mentioned on "Forkers", I've put 2 Scottish and 3 Irish photos onto Jigsaw Planet, if anyone's interested - more to come when I've time! Scottish ones are under "Scotland - islands - Lismore" & the others under "Ireland - Connemara".
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
What a great picture Liri, it's crystal clear and quite beautiful. Just imagine how bleak it would look on a dull, rainy day - the sunshine makes a whole heap of difference doesn't it? We have been so lucky to have such a calm, mild and sunny November, and so far December has been good too.
Thank you. It was indeed a wonderful November! Sorry you missed walking in it, Fairy. I even painted the back door of the cottage, and painted the name on it (reasonably straight...) so visitors know which house they've got the keys to.
I'll have to look at the thread every few days - obviously not sensible to rely on notifications.

Eventually got around to doing pix from Sunday's trip to Ben Tirret/The Goet in Glen Clova.
Arrived at half nine and some of the locals were there just to check my credentials ....
The moon was still showing over Driesh (one of the two Glen Clova Munros) further along the glen
The approach to Loch Brandy, the first of the two lochans, each set inside a steep corrie, on the circular route. A small memorial wreath was laid at the boulder near the approach. Don't know the reasoning but I might try and find out why it was there
The west side of the corrie reflected in the lochan it surrounds
Mount Keen, the most easterly Munro, from the first summit on the plateau above the corrie. You can see the motorway like path all the way up it, making it one of the easiest hills to do! Also notable for having a colony of adders regularly spotted on the approach
The second lochan, Loch Wharral, from the head of it's corrie.
The view north east to the Lochanagar Munros, from Ben Tirran's proper summit, The Goet
Marshmallow anyone? En route to Ben Tirran's lower summit, the bank of cloud on the other side of Glen Clova looked close enough to touch. The sky was changing colour too
Heading down from Tirran. Loch Wharral and it's crags
Some of the wildlife - hares have got their winter coats, but the snow's gone so they're a bit vulnerable. The b***ers scarper before you get a chance to take a decent pic!
The deer up on the corrie
Back down into the glen - Christmas dinner....
Wouldn't be the same without a sheep
Just managed to catch the fading light on the way home, just outside Blairgowrie

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Love the variety on here too Lesley. What a great selection of pix we have to look at on this thread
It was quite nippy last weekend. I loved that little pool too
Big change today - above freezing in the glen and on the hill, apart from further up when the wind hit you in the exposed sections.
Sections of the hill I mean....

Very little snow - even on the higher summits - just now. Most unusual for this time of year.

Photo taken from Hubby's drone of our river
some interesting tomatoes that were in a mixed packet of tomatoes. Keen to try them.

Absolutely beautiful Liri. The November weather was ideal for the island.
Gorgeous Liri. I'll take a look at your jigsaws too
So glad you got that good weather - it was the driest and sunniest November up here since records began.
For various reasons, I managed to miss all the hills in the snow and sunshine
I don't use the notifications as I never found them reliable. I just look at the thread every so often.
Pat's toms look great

The jigsaws were very enjoyable, Liri, thanks for putting them on.
