Some snowy pix from today's jaunt. Back to a favourite hill of mine, Beinn an Lochain, which can be 'tricksy' anyway, but the addition of this week's snow and ice added a bit more fun. My little legs got lost in the snow a bit too as it was well over my knees in lots of places. Handy when a few people have already kicked some steps and made some holes in it for me
The Brack, a nearby hilll, was about the only one whose summit stayed clear today below the lou'ring sky full of snow filled clouds
Icicles en route - quite impressive ones
The same icicles - once you get above them
Annoying when the snow gets in the way of the path!
...and then it cornices as well. Crampons on for going back down!
The stunning summit view today
Some icy crags and rocks on the way back down
Dinky little bit of Loch Fyne in the distance
The hill I was on two weeks ago. This is as clear as it got. Beinn Luibhean on the other side of the road
Buzzard on one of the rocks down nearer the road. There was another couple wheeling around
A last look back at the craggy slopes of the hill
Slightly more monochrome pic than the view from lower down on Luibhean on New Year's Day, but I suppose they all are!

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

You need a 'Fairy Cage' , Joyce
'How the **** do I get in here? $*#*..... Grrrr.....'

Fairy, the other three feeders are "squirrel" proof most of the time.
That pot is right outside the back door and I can sit in the kitchen and see the birds at it.
Determined little sods aren't they?
What do you have under the cheese layer? Is the whole pot full of bird food?
And if so, is it layered - like a delicious bird lasagne?

There is a Hosta in the pot so the grated cheese is just on the surface.
Aah...

Fairy - hope you noticed the Phormium "cream delight" waiting to be positioned on the patio.
Ooh - I didn't...but I do now!
I love mine Joyce. It's always a little beacon even in the dark. I think it might be my favourite plant in this garden

Shame about the louring sky
However the snow really sets off the rock face and crags.Good to get sight of the buzzard.
