Oh Lily that sounds awful. Please look after yourself.

I think everyone needs a huge chunk of cake. Not sure I have much in the museum (coffee shop is being refitted) but I'll see if I can pick one up on the way home for you all...

Sorry guys, I seem to have brought the mood down. I'm sorry , it was not my intention.

Hosta Hugs for all poorly peeps.

I've been earning more Verdun Brownie Points. Not only did I remove a bamboo at the weekend, I've been spending to day removing slate chippings and the dreaded weed membrane from the patch behind the pond.

I've sieved all the chippings and the composted detritus which had built up and smaller bits of slate make a lovely mulch.

Re-used chippings to top up the path.

Stopped for a well earned cuppa.

    Devon.

Damp and windy afternoon so busy shredding paper to get stirred into the compost bin.

    Hope you have recovered LP.

  • That sounds like a day well spent Hosta image

Under supervision, OH has reduced the water cress and Brooklime in the pond - it was taking over!

We're having an early supper then meeting a foodie friend from 'up north' for a pint or two - he's holidaying in the area.

Don't apologise Hosta. I think it's good to be reminded sometimes. I'm well aware of how fortunate I am that I'm pretty healthy, and always have been, apart from my rubbish knees and dodgy wrists and back. But it's really wear and tear from having had a physical job and doing lots of 'stuff '. I was lucky to be well enough to do those things in the first place though. I count my blessings quite often now - especially on a hill day.

I think you've all earned your cake  today. image

You're right Fairy, despite my arthritic aches and pains I do pretty well.  Hubby's had a near miss, but he seems fine now, so I too count my blessings.

Oops just nearly reported Forkers to the moderators by mistake, that will never do.

Have had a fairly quiet day, have been looking at plant porn and ordered some new daffs and some dahlias.  Now must zip up the purse for a bit.

It's been a miserable day here, but we are supposed to be having good weather over the next few days.  Tomorrow I'm on Nanna Duty looking after Mabel and Merri but then I'll have a couple of days to get some work done in the garden.

Off for a browse and a cupp.  See you all later.

I know Hosta - I heard it on the news on the radio earlier. It'll end up on a commercial channel with five million adverts ...image

Ah well, Hosta, there are worse things happening in the world. (Hugs)) because I know you won't be able to get that scenario out of your mind and I hope the young family grow strong and happy).    As for GBBO you wouldn't think they would be quite so greedy as they taste everything, and go back for secondsimage.  Maybe it's the filming schedule but I think I'm being kind there. It's the moneyimage.

    Glad your gate worked Fauryimage

Hope everyone with aches and pains are relaxing and recoveringimage
