Showers started at about 1pm but the sunny intervals got shorter and shorter until it was constant rain which looks like it'll go on now til dark.  Forecast here is similar for tomorrow.

A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

Very, very heavy showers 2 hours go, looks like a lot of snapped plants, even the gutter started leaking and flooding one of the roses & other pots image it was like this last night too.. I remember a few years ago when our entire family business was flooded by flash showers, the fire brigade helped to pump a lot out - thankfully that's a distant memory.

Pleasant day around 21d, rained about 4 0 clock, but I had dug up the charlotte spuds, put them in the greenhouse to dry, weeded veg plot, planted more peas, and some flowering plants, so happy!

OH just finished cutting grass as first rumble of thunder....we have had 10.2mm of rain in 35minutes. It's 10 years since the floods here (Glos), when we lost our water supply and had to use bowsers. It still makes me nervous if we get heavy rain for any length of time!

Hello , not long finished in garden.  Just having a beer before dinner and it is pouring down☔️ , very lucky with weather today image

  • Warm and sunny,  Feeling fresher after all the rain, in fact the last 5 days have been quite unsettled, so hoping for drier weather for a while now.

Typical UK weather, forcast said shower sthroughout the day Saturday,Sunday, dry all day Saturday till about 4, then showers, Sunday dry till 2.30, when Hubby desided to try and get felt on new roof on his own, (it was very windy) went out to help, literally got the felt on and it started to rain.  Desided to do some washing today, (just put the tumble dryer in our garage, in a block in the next road!!!) and its raining not a lot, but windy, the "thick" stuff is going to have to go out.

After a good day yesterday only a short shower around 5pm, damp & very windy today more like late September than July.

    AB Still learning
