Clear blue skies, brilliant sun, 17C in shelter but feels freezing in the nasty easterly wind.   No rain in sight.   Farmers already worrying.

Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Same here Obelixx, lovely day in Cheshire apart from a cold wind. We had a lovely walk along the canal and saw many spring flowers out in bloom. We watched Swallows and House Martins sweeping over the water as they fed on insects. Forecast to be much colder tomorrow, brrr!  image

Absolutely a fabulous sunny day , been in Garden all day needed sun glasses & a hat - Lincoln image

  • No cold winds here - we have been on the beach (no swimming yet though), there were plenty of sunbathers skimpily clad.  Sat in the garden.  First roses in bloom already.

I must be Psychic or should that be psychotic one or t'other who cares, I mention the Beautiful River Tees and low and behold we are on  Countryfile last night. Elly went from Upper Teasdale past High Force to swim in low force rapids. The Cameras followed down into Stockton and the Barrage that turned a tidal river into a fresh water lake. The fat seals in the downriver side who never go far as the fish swim into their mouths, the Canoe Slalom and water sports we now have. I think it is the first time BBC have been in Stockton since they had me wandering around Norton Green in 2005. Problem, now all those Southerners will be arriving to see what they are missing. No more wandering around in blue woad hiding our swords behind huge shields and dragging girls around by the hair, it will be jacket and tie worse luck.

Weather today dull and dour, rained overnight and much colder, will have to do my Pole Dancing for the Old Ladies Club indoors instead of on the Maypole on the village green.

Spoke too soon the sun has arrived so it will be the maypole after all.

    Frank.

GWRS, it never went out of fashion up here, mind the girls are getting fussy, I have to wash my goat skins once a year whether they need it or not.

The sun is in and out like a yo-yo, I think some one up there is playing with the switch, definitely colder.

  • Warm and sunny here - although there is a build up of cloud in the distance.  No coat needed today.
