  • First day the temp hasn't been in the late twenties early thirties! That rain you sent Hosta, arrived as a smattering of drizzle that even Flatters isn't scared off by, he's sleeping on the wall getting gently misted! image I would happily edit summer and winter out of the year and just keep spring and autumn, I don't like extremes! image

Short memory Hosta. . . . ....in Spring, we were basking in sun. . . constant watering. . . .

In the South. . . . constant rain with flooding in places

You know we need the sun to build up our Vitamin D for a long, dark winter image

On balance, I think our weather has been ok this year.

Never deluged nor bone dry. prety average N. Devon I'd say.

Could have been warmer and sunnier for the most parts for my liking, but the garden has been pretty happy throughout.

    No complaints here.

    Devon.
  • Stockton we have the lights on dark louring low cloud and rain. Let us hope that like yesterday the sun comes out. We live in hope.

So the first storm began at 5PM last night in Berkshire after 31c day of full sun, then started up again at 2AM with the worst I've ever seen thunder, lightning, the house vibrating & rain still going now. Our local family business flooded with no warning from the government for flash floods. Terrible, terrible day.

  • Rain first thing this morning, now strong north west wind and sunshine. Certainly a little cooler today.

Mark56: How awful for you, I hope the rain soon stops for you and when the floodwaters recede, that the damage to the family business isn't too extensive.
