Ah Joyce21, you had a hot spring, while WE got the rain, I dont feel so bad now then! Dont know about heatwave coming to an end next week, forast says it will be 10d cooler tomorrow.
Was a warm one today - 'close' as my Granny used to say. Rain forecast tonight, wouldn't bet against some thunder, then dry all weekend. Have really enjoyed September so far - the best I can remember for a while.
Been dry and hot all day in north Dorset. Ran into a torrential storm on the way home, road through one village was like a river, could only travel at 20 Mph safely due to very poor visibility. Everyone had headlamps and rear fogs on.
We had it here in N Essex at 5am aym together with the inevitable power cut. Lights back on now, still raining (and boy do we need it) but the storm has obviously moved your way.
Oh, hello Dove where have you been! Very warm overnight 18.4 this morning, but grey, had a really silly little shower yesterday around 5, OH came in at 6 said a few miles down the road it was a very heavy shower. A week ago, it was very hot in the day, went down to 10d a couple of nights.MU, what is your night time temp at the moment then?
Very wet, apparently there was a big storm a few hours ago and we slept through it! The garden needed it though but don't think I'll be able to get out there today

30c scorcher today with full sun, now becoming overcast with chance of rain. Perhaps it's the end of our Summer in the SE and beginning of Autumn

It was 32C again yesterday.
This morning it's already 19C and soft but steady rain has just started - the lawn is drinking it in
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
