Very windy today - force 7 - 8. Just one plastic patio pot with olive tree blown down though luckily no damage to it. Fairly mild but the wind and heavy showers made staying indoors more enticing than being battered by the wind outside.
We had rain all through the night, now the sun is shining bright, the clouds go scudding by, through an azure sky, The soft sunny haze, has the flowering plants in a daze, roses mint and thyme, enjoy the warmer clime, It is such a lovely day, I do hope it is here to stay.
Same here. Ice on the garage roof early on, but I've just checked the garden thermometer and the lowest last night was 2.4C in the sheltered back garden.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Ate my breakfast sitting in sunshine and so it has been all day. Went to Daughters for lunch hers is a south facing garden as is mine and we sat in sunshine talking and eating looking at a clear blue sky with just the odd white powder puff cloud drifting by. I asked if they had made a Mary berry Bread Pudding but had to eat mince pies instead, "oh well" you cannot win them all.

Windy and showery here and no sunshine either. Not so cold - thermometer got up to 10 in the cold GH and 14 outside.
Beautiful sunrise. Frosty.

We seem to have waited forever for this day - peaceful, mild, dry and sunshine - what more could we ask for!
