The fog has now gone here - at last - and there is some sun . Might even be into double figures so I can put the washing out!  image

Verdun, we have the local bonfire and fireworks tonight, so was saying a prayer! Yesterday, I looked at the hourly forecast for my area, as I did 2 lots of washing it said 7am 75% cloud, well, I took s imilar pic, with just ONE fluffy white cloud, it said rain at 2, I was out, so thought I ll get the washing dry and in before I go, suddenly, dark sky, silly bit of fine rain, got washing in,  sun, blue sky, washing out, then large drops, but very little, washing in out shake it all about, left it out, it all dried, and was in by 1.  Heavy shower today, but seems to be holding off now.

  • Rain this morning - but not too much, sunny and windy now - pleasantly warm and ideal gardening weather, car wash, washing all dried - perfect.

Huge thunderstorm in the night, poured for hours. First real proper soaking rain since June.

We had the lot here in Southampton today; lightning, thunder and several hours of downpours before a gorgeous sunny afternoon. My neighbours must think I'm a few slices short of a loaf as I was out there in the midst of it this morning with my watering can applying my chafer grub nematodes image

Stockton a repeat performance of the last few days sunshine, it was warm during the night and we have windows and doors open now a pleasant breeze wafting through. The garden has at last woken up after a cold wet summer on the NE coast, it is again a pleasure to sit out there and take it all in, there are a few odd plants I did not know I had, Daughter must have been busy.
