  • Dull but warmer today - 3C.

Re the "flat earthers":  I remember watching the start of the Tall Ships race when they came to the Tyne, years ago.  Seeing a tall-masted schooner gradually disappear below the horizon was the best illustration I've seen of the curvature of the earth...

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

"Ah" Liriodendron, that was 2005 I was standing on the Banks at South Shields watching them leave and as you say the tops of the masts sinking into the sea. They were at Hartlepool in 2010 a wonderful sight to see.

I have yet to see an edge on photo of earth from space, do the flat earth brigade not wonder what is under the rim and why the oceans do not flow over the edge?

  • Calm, grey and 9 degrees here - OH is digging my 'new' veg patch, whilst neighbour (son-in-law) is bagging up logs to sell and give away. My contribution of the day has been collecting a bucket of stone rubbish whilst OH digs.

Stockton is dull though dry. I had a dentist check up appointment so out early and found it quite warm. The forecast is sun later.
