Got to feel for Louis Smith. His reaction when Max Whitlock beat him on the pommel shows just how much it meant. Also loved the reaction of the Brazilian guy who got silver on the floor. OTT or what
Agreed on all points. When I said about the Brazilian's reaction being OTT, I meant the time the poor guy took to regain some kind of composure. He was still close to hysterics at the award ceremony some time later. Certainly no doubting how much it meant to him. From the commentary I understand that none of the 3 medallists were expected to do more than scrape a bronze at best. To exceed expectation, and in front of the home crowd too, must be immense.

I couldn't keep awake until end of fourth set. . .
Surely - SURELY no one could be negative on this thread today
Not just gold medals - record breaking, history making gold medals.
I've had hardly any sleep in the last two nights Joyce...

I thought the Brazilian's reaction was one of the moments of the Games KT. His face said it all about what it means didn't it?
Felt the same as you about Louis Smith. He's done so much for his sport. How many people can say they've done that?
Can anyone deny Usain his triple triple? I really hope not

Forget Super Saturday.
THAT WAS SCINTILLATING SUNDAY.

Well done Team GB. But I just couldn't stay awake for all of Andy, we are an hour ahead here.

We're certainly doing well. Also consider comparative populations of the UK, USA and China.
