The Rio games are being pushed as being 'green' so, for instance, no bunches of flowers for every medallist - it's been tailored to suit only a few events. It's a huge waste when you consider how those flowers are produced and the massive quantity needed.
The pools are definitely green. I've just read a report suggesting the reason for the colour change is that they've run out of chemicals to treat the water! The water will then be environmentally friendly, but possibly toxic to divers!
The two girls were superb Verd. Thoroughly deserved their gold. That's one very tough sport....
We should be proud of all our athletes. Young KJT was incredible in the high jump and really getting among them in the heptathlon. Fantastic competition.
I'm sometimes finding it difficult to locate when events are on though - chopping and changing channels all the time
If channel changing was an Olympic sport, I'd be in with a shout
